When you're growing a new business or even just working in a more masculine environment, it's nice to know of local spaces you can pop into to shift your energy. Being community-based from day one, we've been big fans of shared workspaces for a long time and as women have sought out those with a more feminine vibe. So today we thought we'd share the love and highlight the feminine-inspired spaces we've come by in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

  • Manzana - your go-to landing pad for anyone new to entrepreneurship or the city. Bustling with freelancers and diverse ideas, we especially love their monthly members' coffee meetups to plug in and get inspired.
  • Gossamer Studio - a hub of fashion and textile talent. Hannah has led this space for over ten years. She makes it a home for budding designers and creative individuals.
  • The Village - think high-end office meets day spa. We adore the decor and hospitable zones, plus the cutest bookable meeting room in Waitematā.
  • Ellen Melville Centre - Auckland Council's community hub in the city centre - initiated by the first female councillor in New Zealand, Ellen Melville - formerly known as Pioneer Women's Hall. They have bookable spaces for meetings, private functions, exhibitions, films, concerts and performances, plus a handy drop in lounge with free wifi.
  • Alberts - a step up from community co-working, this commercial property brings collaborative environments, community and hospitality to the traditional office space.
