Brightly approached us in late 2022 with a goal of building greater momentum around local B Corp events in Tāmaki Makaurau. As a certified B Corp, the organisation had been supporting community events for some time, but had found it challenging to establish a sustainable local organising network and grow participation.
Working closely with Brightly and the Aotearoa representative from B Lab, we established a committed group of local volunteer organisers, conducted research and community engagement to better understand local needs, and developed a programme of events designed to strengthen connections within the B Corp community.
Over a twelve-month period, we collaborated with the volunteer committee to plan and deliver eight events, creating opportunities for learning, networking, and collective action. After six months, were also expanded the programme beyond Auckland, fostering stronger connections with sister groups across New Zealand.

Through this work, Brightly was able to strengthen its role within the B Corp movement, support meaningful connections across the business community, and contribute to positive social and environmental impact both within its ecosystem and beyond.
